PLAYING WITH BEHAVIORS OF EVERYDAY LIFE

The activity was for you and your partner to both have mirrors and to go and stand back to back to each other and look at the other person in their mirror through your mirror. The point was to mimic the expression that your partner was making and to walk further away from each other until you could no longer see the face of your partner. Initially it was really weird to do this, seeing Aris's Face(my partner) just made me laugh. Finally after getting over the initial awkwardness we started walking away from each other. The entire time i was walking away i could see her face clearly in her mirror through my mirror. It began to just look like a floating head. It look like Aris's head and her body were two different things walking away from me.I felt like the image of her face in her mirror through my mirror was clearer and easier to see, than her just walking away from me in my mirror. I thought that was pretty cool. I thought that the activity was very fun and interesting.

LOGOS

muppet.wikia.com
The Walt Disney logo is known around the world. The elaborate "W" in Walt, and the classic "D" in Disney could be recognized by anyone. Another thing that goes hand in hand with the Walt Disney signature is the icon that comes immediately behind it. The castle, at the Disney world parks the highlight of your trip is at the end of the day when you get to see the firework show at the castle. The castle is the symbol that represents Disney. That is why i think that this is a great example for iconography. Other things could pop into your head when you think of Disney, It could be your favorite character, movie, or ride. But there are too many of those things to pinpoint as the ultimate symbol of Disney. The one that works the best is the castle. There are also many other logos of Disney, one of the other most famous ones would be the Mickey Mouse ears. But in most advertisements and at the beginning of every movie you will see the Walt Disney signature with the castle behind it.

Duchamp

The first time that i saw the piece it was small and in black and white on a piece of computer paper. i couldn't form a big opinion about it because i didn't know what it actually looks like. i wanted to know what medium it was in, and i wanted to see the colors. when we finally got the chance to see it, i was surprised. i wasn't expecting all of the concepts that were in the piece. There was a website that did a replica of what the whole entire piece meant. it broke down each part of it and explained what its use was. all of the objects in the piece seem to all have a job and all function together. our discussion on the piece isn't over, so i don't have a full opinion on it just yet. but for right now i am very interested in the piece and can't wait to learn more about it.
